This week’s favorite style is inspired by Sandy Beach located on the island of O’ahu. Sandy Beach is known for the rough surf and beautiful sandy beach. On occasion beach glass is found on Sandy Beach. This piece is made from sterling silver sand dollar with a rare piece of red sea glass.
Why is red sea glass very rare to find in Hawai’i? Red is not a common color in glass bottles. If you are lucky enough to find this treasure, it is likely that you have found a piece from the early 1950’s. In the 1950’s boat lights and car tail lights were made from glass.
